That same copper hair that URIAH BLACK had. On Riley, it was slightly longer and seemingly pulled upwards with a comb to mimic his father's shorter spiky hair. The family had relocated. An easy task for Riley, who seemingly bounced all over Sinnoh before following them.

He was at the door of what he'd assumed to be his father's new residence. A large band tee and red jeans sat on his body kinda funny. His shirt wasn't tucked in, and a breeze made it fly upward like a skirt, held down with a hand. Beside him was his Deino, chattering baby-like at him. Riley's other hand held what looked like a red canvas backpack by the handle. Riley reached his hand from the hem of his shirt to knock on the door with a closed fist.

"...Dad?"

'dad' doesn't answer. the door swings open to reveal a well-dressed, but much older gentleman than ral's father. he looks down on the boy with a childlike smirk that holds more warmth than one might've expected from hired help.

vic had been a long-standing friend of the family since well before his father established their successful business. when they did, he signed on quickly to help the family in whatever way that he could, eager to be of help to his best friend and his bustling family.

he'd come out of retirement after gabriel's father - and the childrens grandfather - passed on. 'it was the least' he could do, he said.

now, he stood in the doorway, a giant man in own right, and appraised the man before him.

The giant of a man at the door startled Riley at first, but he relented, and followed his lead. Riley swung the backpack so it sat over one shoulder like a cape, though through the canvas there was the telltale clanging of filled aluminum cans. He'd brought drinks. As a gift.

Riley by comparison was somewhat slight of frame. His muscles looked prominent just as a matter of him being skinny and having to load his equipment. His copper hair occasionally gave way to greys, but Vic was tall enough to see dark hair at the very top, his roots exposed. His Deino followed, after some hesitation.

"...Oh. It's you. I don't think I've seen you since I was a teenager."

poking out from his well-groomed facial hair, he gives gabriel's son an audible grin before heading further in.

there was a sense of nostalgia that washed over him each time he saw one of the children, and it always cheered him up.

The door swung shut after them. The ever loyal Vic led Riley down the entrance to the building. Riley's hair seemed to move a little too much, and it moved all at once as he walked. It was like a cap sitting atop a lego man's head. He'd always had a heavier hand with conditioner.

Riley's Deino sniffed around, kind of leading him further into the house. Riley should've known the place better than he did, but again, it'd been a while. The slow rumble of vocal cords came, producing a voice that was nasally and boyish. He sounded like he just constantly had a sore throat, but he just drank all the time.

"...Well. I was busy. Weren't we all. I sent emails. My voice was a little too... broken up for phone calls. You've probably seen me online. ...Anyways, is Dad okay?"

He said, calling to mind a recent recording, wherein he shouted himself hoarse, while punching out a repetitive, heavy guitar riff.
